Y-FLYER STANDARD MAINSAIL
  • The Standard Mainsail is by far the most popular main in the Class.

  • It is built from 130 HTP sq. Dimension Polyant fabric.

  • Our recent updates include a more powerful shape for help in acceleration and power in light shifty conditions.

  • The leech is more open which helps make the sail easy to depower in a breeze and less apt to stall in light to medium winds.

  • It is a full size sail which helps the boats perform well in light air and when sailing downwind.

  • Mainsails include: battens, sail numbers, insignia, vision windows, and sail bag.

NORTH Y-FLYER AP JIB

  • The North Y-Flyer AP Jib is a refinement of the popular Fisher design from 7 years ago.

  • The entry is rounder and more powerful which makes the boat less critical to steer.

  • The upper leech is more open and the sails trim with more twist which again makes it easier to steer and less critical is puffy shifty conditions.

  • It is built out of 165 HTP sq. fabric from Dimension Polyant and includes the North special window program which makes safety a major concern! The series of windows are the Class maximum size limit and low enough that the skipper can see even when the boat is heeled downwind.

  • Jibs include: vision window, and sail bag.

NORTH Y-FLYER AP SPINNAKER

  • The North All Purpose Spinnaker (used only in international competition) is a crosscut design and built from .75 once Fleetwing fabric.
