Sail Fast... Sail Smart!
HARKEN Competitive
420 Boathandling Video CD-Rom
North
Sails has partnered with Harken and Musto to develop a 420 Boathandling
Video CD-Rom - a video catalog of techniques for effective boathandling
in competition for both the Club and the Collegiate 420.
Chapters include: Control, Tacking, Gybing, Windward Marks,
Leeward Marks and a special chapter on the Club 420.
Here's
what Greg
Fisher has to say about the Video-CD:
"Competitve
420 Boathandling is the latest addition in the Harken/North
Sails series of instructional CD Rom videos.
Like the J/22 and
J/24 videos previously produced,Will Crump has done an
outstanding job in providing excellent footage of the
experts pulling off high quality boat handling moves.
Although this CD
is labled "420" it is an excellent instructional
piece for any 2 person boat. Whether you sail a Snipe,
Windmill, Jet 14, Vanguard 15, JY 15, Comet, etc... you'll
be sure to learn a great deal from this perfect training
vehicle. And of course, for the serious Club 420 racer
there's even a section dedicated to the techniques in
making your boat sail the fastest! Don't miss this one...there's
so much that everyone will learn from all the pearls
included in shot after shot! " |
Here's a comment
from a customer that bought the CD:
"Greg,
I just wanted to write a quick note regarding the 420 CD
that you narrated. I
bought I last year to help Angie and I get up to speed
in our V15. It
really has helped. Yesterday, we had a V15 Training Day
at Catawba Yacht
Club. We did 2 hours on the water, then the video at Lunch,
then two more
hours of races and practice starts.
I think the entire fleet got something from the video.
Although, it was a
420 that you were teaching on, It really helps prove the
dynamics on the
v15 as well.
Anyway, It's a great tool and we will get a lot of use
from it. Thank you"....
